When is “more” enough?

April 15th, 2008

Everyone knows what today is, right? Tax deadline day! In less than an hour, the news stations will show the lines of people rushing to mail their tax returns by midnight! What a yearly ritual! Only in America, right?

In honor of tax day I presented a seminar on Sunday night on “Prosperity & Abundance”! The first half of the seminar focused on manifesting “more” — more money, income, wealth, and support. As always I taught the central energetic principles of manifestation and co-creation (known as “the Law of Attraction”). I also taught the ways that most of us self-sabotage our ability to allow a steady flow of support from the Universe.

The second half of the seminar was a surprise. I distributed a handout entitled, “Reflections on Getting/Having More”. It included three key questions — Why do you want more? When is “more” enough? And, what is “enough”? As I allowed time to reflect and answer the questions, the energy of the group shifted to a much deeper and centered level. It was amazing and touching to behold.

As the participants began to discuss their answers it became very apparent that they had little to do with the anxious concerns most people had shared in part one of the seminar (i.e. how to have “more”). Everyone began to realize that they wanted “more” only to realize happiness and to share their bounty with others. They quickly felt the power of simply going straight to happiness and giving without the pressure and pre-requisite of needing “more”. Some powerful stories and testimonies brought this truth home for us all in a deeply moving way.

The amazing fact is that “more” won’t necessarily bring happiness, but happiness always brings expansiveness……and that sure is “more”.

Share and Enjoy!
