On Monday our nation experienced once again a tragedy involving the loss of innocent lives, and the wounding of many others.  When “bad” things happen we have two choices.  We can send love or breed fear.  The more shocking and massive the horrific event, the more we are apt to be drawn into the latter of these choices.  But we must consider that we always have choice, and that the one we make is immensely important, for ourselves and for the entire planet.

I just read a report of this troubling event.  It stated that the sidewalk in front of the house of the 8 year old boy who lost his life said, “Peace.” How profound.  Clearly a choice for love over fear.  Let us all know that at this moment, and in every moment, we can send love, prayers of support, healing, and hope for those who have suffered and for their families.  Let us all try to make the tough choice of sending love over the easy one of breeding fear.  If we cannot reach for love because we are just too triggered, let us ask for the strength not to descend further into the darkness of hate, revenge, punishment, and fear.  Let us try to see the bigger picture where there are no victims, but wounds to heal and hearts to soften.

Let us understand that “bad things” do not happen to “good people.”  In fact, things happen and our invitation is not to judge, but to understand.  To be part of the loving solution, not the fear-based problem.  May Boston heal.  May the families of those hurt and lost know that the mandate for “Peace” is louder than ever.

Today is Good Friday.  It is the most intense, painful, and sad day of the year in the Christian tradition.  Many of us can feel this palpable heaviness each year on this day, and even as this day approaches, through to Easter Sunday.  I’ve been thinking about the “good” in Good Friday.

Some believe in the literal version of the life of Christ, his crucifixation and resurrection.  Some believe the story as metaphor.  For some, Jesus held no special Divine role, and was simply a Jewish man, the son of a carpenter.

For those of us who have some special interest in the story of the crucifixition, I offer some thoughts.  What if Jesus was showing us who we really are (in the style of that particular era)?  Is the story really about the crucifixtion, or is the point of truth really the resurrection and ascension?  (Should churches have a man dying on a cross as the visual center point, or rather a glowing image of a radiant, healthy Christ?)  Is the story of Jesus’ death and resurrection our clarion call to self-realization?  Is it our invitation to know that we are truly Divine as was Jesus, that we too “will do these and greater things?”

Did Jesus suffer and die for our sins (as the Church teaches,) or was he showing us in no uncertain terms that sin (i.e. failure, error, mistake, etc.) is an illusion, a delusion, a nightmare of human misunderstanding born of fear?  Is the crucifixtion the dream (nightmare) and the resurrection + ascension the reality?  Do we wake up from the dream or into it?  What is “real” and what does “real” even mean?  (As we now know from quantum science, that which we can perceive with our five senses does not define what is “real.”  In fact, it is only about 4% of what truly exists.  We simply cannot perceive the other 96% with our five senses.)

So what is “good” about Good Friday?  It is good to recognize who our teachers are, where the wisdom presents itself, and how we are invited into Enlightenment.  Jesus clearly knew who he was.  Do we know who we are?  He could perform “miracles” precisely because he knew who he was (Divine and whole) and he knew who we are (Divine and whole).  He clearly told us, “You too will do these and greater things” (miracles, that is).  So why don’t we?  And when we do, why don’t we notice?  Why don’t we consciously claim ownership of our ability to perform miracles?  Do we have “the eyes to see and the ears to hear” beyond the limited scope of our five senses?  Herein lies the “good” in Good Friday.  It is the portal to the greatest lesson ever taught in the current World Age of human history.  Consider this, and learn your lessons well.

Gee…it’s been about nine months since my last post.  Been busy writing articles and doing radio shows….check them out!  This one was worth waiting for.  I promise.  So here we are at the cusp of a New World Age.  Yes, The Shift, the “end of the Mayan calendar.”  Quite a big deal if you can believe the ancients who knew and marked the dawning of this portal of time.  They were more aware than most of us.  So pay attention here.

From everything we are seeing and hearing, it is clear that something important is happening.  We note climactic changes, the likes of which we have not known in human existence.  We note global economic challenges and upheavals in political systems, spreading across countries like a domino effect.  We see the speed of life accelerating in exponential ways, creating both excitement and chaos.  And we see the action journey giving way to the realm of energetic influence, in ways that perplex and confuse the logical mind.  This is because we are at the cusp of a Universal rebalancing act.  The masculine principle has run its solo course, and everywhere you now see and hear evidence of the resurgence of The Divine Feminine as the healing balm of humanity and of Mother Earth.

We are hearing the phrase “the year of the woman.”  Here in the United States we have just completed a political chapter which reflects in no uncertain terms the importance of women, their issues and concerns.  Any political party which ignores or devalues women will become extinct.  Yes, like the dinosaurs.  Here’s the short course in gender (his)story.  For about 6,000 years (from about 4,000 B.C.) we have seen the rise of the unexalted masculine.  Marked by a patriarchal and increasing misogynist cultural evolution, third dimensional consciousness reached epic proportions in the past 2,000 years.  Rigid dyadic thinking (black or white), a mechanistic view of the world (Newtonian physics) and the rise of technology, logical thinking (vs. honoring our feelings), judgemental and self-first attitudes have dominated human relating.  This has created all sorts of terrible problems, the likes of which I need not describe.  Obviously, rape-pillage-and-plunder has not been a much evolved clarion call.

So here’s where we are.  Notice the clamor in the world, but look and listen for the pulse of it.  The Divine Feminine is in resurgence and will heal humanity and the planet.  Notice that climactic changes are evidence of Mother Earth rebalancing.  (Ice core research shows this is cyclic evolution and not an aberration.  However it is a good reminder to be better stewards of Mother Earth as she hosts our human incarnations!) Notice the sharp increase in the numbers of women in positions of political, social, and business power.  Note that much recent research literature has concluded that “emotional intelligence” is crucial and that where women are present, good outcomes ensue.

This past year I heard Swami Nithnayanda explain the issue of people’s Armaggedon fears as The Shift nears.  He said essentially that those who remain in third dimensional consciousness (rigid, relying on logic, fear-based, etc.) will indeed experience Armaggedon, while those who enter fourth dimensional consciousness (flexible, heart-centered, intuitive, holistic, etc.) will experience Enlightenment.  I do not think it a coincidence that fourth dimensional consciousness parallels aspects of The Divine Feminine.  Human kind has been way out of balance for so long, many have forgotten what “Heaven on Earth” can look like.  It will look like what we create, together.

I used to say, “The magic bus is coming; you’re either on it or you missed it.”  Now I say, “The magic bus is here; you’re either on it or under it.”  Get your bus pass, ok?  Look beyond borders.  Don’t believe the edges or color only within the lines.  Free style when no one is looking (or better yet, when they are!)  Don’t “believe it when you see it,” but “believe it and you will truly see it.”  Embrace the feminine in all you see and do.  See with your heart and know from your gut.  Logic is over-rated.  It’s not magic (or even sexy!)  Yin is in.  Balance is awesome.  And enchantment is everywhere you look for it.  Here’s to The Shift, The Divine Feminine, and The Age of Enlightenment!
